Sister Cities
The City of Franklin and Williamson County have established official community relationships (also known as 'twinning') and great friends through Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County. The first relationship was established with Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada in 2005 followed by County Laois, Ireland in 2008. There are student exchange programs in place for both locations: High school students for Canada and college students for Ireland.
